Fundamentals¶
The reference for the company-condition side of the app: what each area scores, what each check tests, and what each indicator row on the Fundamentals page measures. Every page has the same six sections — what it measures, why it is on the page, its thresholds with their source and the population they were fitted on, a worked example, what No verdict means for it, and what the verdict is and is not.
| Section | Pages | What they describe |
|---|---|---|
| Areas | six | The scored areas of the condition band: profitability, cash, debt, growth, allocation, quality |
| Checks | thirty | The individual tests inside each area — each passes, fails, cannot be evaluated or does not apply |
| Indicators | the Fundamentals page's rows | Ratios and models such as the DuPont decomposition, Altman Z or the cash conversion cycle |
How the thirty checks are spread over the six areas¶

An area's verdict is the share of its checks that passed, among those that could run — which is why every tile also says n of m checks passed.
